IntegrateSDGs – A Project with the United Nations Environment Programme and with the support of the European Commission

Stakeholder Forum’s newest project, IntegrateSDGs, follows on from our ‘Countdown to the UN SDG Summit 2023,’ series of 8 webinars in the run-up to the September 2023 SDG Summit. Funded by the United Nations Environment Programme and with the support of the European Commission, the programme will contribute to the UNEP PRC-approved project “Progressive Development and Implementation of Environmental Law – Delivering Montevideo Programme V” which seeks to strengthen laws, institutions, and associated capacity, encourage collaboration and coordination, and promote environmental rule of law at national, regional, and global levels.

A primary aim of IntegrateSDGs is to strengthen awareness of the institutions developed to uphold and advance the environmental dimension of the Sustainable Development Goals and to support Major Groups and other stakeholder actors. In particular, UNEP and Stakeholder Forum will collaborate to strengthen the environmental dimension of sustainable development through the contributions of stakeholders in the implementation of relevant elements of the Political Declaration of the SDG Summit 2023, and engagement with the 2024 HLPF and the Summit of the Future through two outputs:

• Awareness-raising and knowledge-exchange materials on evidence and science-based good practices and lessons learned in the implementation of the 2030 Agenda; and
• Capacity-building interventions and products for enhanced cooperation among a diverse range of stakeholders in the implementation of relevant elements of the Political Declaration of the SDG Summit 2023 and engagement with the 2024 HLPF and the Summit of the Future to accelerate SDG implementation.
