SF is pleased to announce that a new memorandum of understanding (MOU) with UNEP has been agreed to, and that it will be in effect until the end of 2029.
This collaboration will enable SF and UNEP to continue to work together at UNEA 7 in December, during the run-up to the 2027 review of the 2030 Agenda, and to explore how we can work together with each other and partners to inform the thinking behind Beyond 2030.
Our ongoing and successful working relationship with UNEP is, in large part, thanks to members of the SF team who have delivered projects under contract with or in cooperation with UNEP in recent years – IntegrateSDGs most recently, Towards Stockholm+50, and capacity-building in-person training, webinars, and the like for stakeholders at the United Nations Environment Assembly and related bodies.
Our newest project with UNEP is ‘Enhance Civil Society and Other Stakeholder Engagement at UNEA7 and in the 2027 Review of the 2030 Agenda,’ which will be delivered from November 2025 to March 2026, thanks to funding agreed to by UNEP and the European Commission, for which the entire SF team is grateful.
