This summer, students at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill had the chance to don the badge of Stakeholder Forum for a Sustainable Future and attend a United Nations conference. Lily Mefford is a rising junior studying Public Policy and Geography & the Environment with a focus on Political Ecology and Human and Environmental Welfare. Joshua Bream is a second-year Master of Public Health student with a focus on Global Health in the Gillings School of Global Public Health. Both had the chance to see something both had said was quite an enigma to them beforehand: multilateralism happening in real time.
