The Sustainable Development Goals e-Inventory is now also available in two additional languages, French and Spanish. The multi-language feature enables users to both search for and submit proposals for a post-2015 global goals framework in either English, French or Spanish, thereby increasing the number of stakeholders able to use the tool.

The High Level Panel of Eminent Persons, which was appointed by the United Nations Secretary General to advise on the Post-2015 Development Agenda, has made public its recommendations in a report entitled 'A New Global Partnership: Eradicate Poverty and Transform Economies through Sustainable Development'.

Stakeholder Forum in partnership with the Overseas Development Institute (ODI) and Business Fight Poverty organised on April 17 the event ‘Business and a Post-2015 Sustainable Development Agenda: Where Next’. The event discussed how the private sector is engaging with the current Post-2015 Development Agenda and Sustainable Development Goals process and brought together a diversity of organisations working on these issues in the private sector, NGOs, business associations, governments and research institutions.

With more than 10,000 accredited and participating stakeholders, and over 82 million more connected virtually, Rio+20 was seen as a UN summit with one of the largest contingencies of non-state actors present. In principle, and also to a large extent in practice, the Rio+20 has been the most open and interactive in history.

For the past 40 years, UNEP (the United Nations Environment Programme) has been at the centre of the global debate and international action about the environment in all its aspects. Now, in celebration and penetrating analysis of this endeavour comes a timely book “UNEP The first 40 Years” by Stanley Johnson.

Hundreds of environment ministers, decision makers, scientists, civil society representatives and business leaders met from 18-22 February 2013 in Nairobi, Kenya for the United Nations Environment Programme's (UNEP) first universal session of the Governing Council. The purpose of the Governing Council was to review important and emerging policy issues in the field of the environment and to start implementing the agreements reached at the Rio+20 Conference.

The Paper "Building a New Governance Model for Environmental Sustainability" outlines how the Rio+20 outcome document, UN General Assembly and recent Governing Council has strengthened UNEP.
