The Committee of Experts on Sustainable Development Financing was established at the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development, commonly known as Rio+20 to evaluate and propose options for the effective mobilisation of resources to achieve sustainable development objectives. In particular, these recommendations will help inform UN Member States on the most effective way to finance UN initiatives such as the Sustainable Development Goals.
